  6. WELCOME TO LaTeX!

  8. This file contains a brief distribution guide for the new standard
  9. version of the LaTeX document preparation system.

  11. This system is maintained by The LaTeX3 Project Team.

  14. The LaTeX system is described in:

  21. This distribution is described in the files ending with .txt.  You
  22. should read install.txt before starting to install LaTeX.

  27.  * install.txt describes how to install LaTeX.

  29.  * manifest.txt lists all the files in the LaTeX distribution.

  31.  * unpacked.txt lists all the files in the unpacked LaTeX distribution.

  33.  * legal.txt describes the LaTeX copyright, warranty and copying
  34.    restrictions.

  36.  * bugs.txt describes how to submit a bug report for LaTeX.

  38.  * patches.txt describes the update policy and how important changes
  39.    will be distributed between release dates.

  45.    before you can typeset these files.  Each file needs three 
  46.    LaTeX runs.
